driven clutch decisions....
I am about to order my driven clutch but I am torn with which way to go. Stock clutch or 28 degree? I have Vegas Carts clone in my cart and 26" tires. Gonna go with the Comet 780 for the drive clutch, I am thinking I will need all the low end help I can get. Any comments?

Don't know much about your specific application, but as far as driven clutches go, the Comet 94D is nearly 10" in diameter. All things being equal, that translates to a fairly low ratio off idle.

Re: driven clutch decisions....
I have a comet 780 and went with the 28 degree clutch on my gx390 and Im running 25's I couldn't be happier. This thing climbs hills like billy goat. I think the comet 780 is one of the lightest clutches

Re: driven clutch decisions....
The only problem I have is when the belt has been under big load like climbing a big hill or something it gets hot and then it's hard to switch from forward to reverse until the belt cools off. It may be because I'm running a 2 stroke belt. Not sure but it hasn't slipped yet.

If the belt gets hot it is slipping or you may have an alignment problem.

Re: driven clutch decisions....
I don't think its an alignment issue. Its only done it trying to climb a massive hill which the tire either spins before I get to the top or it picks the front tires up off the ground and keeps pulling maybe it is slipping a little not sure
