Default Need Customer Opinions on our New Finishes!

We are going to be drastically improving the finish quality of our Kits and Parts that are made in house. We picked 2 options for our "Signature Finish":

1 - Polished Aluminum

2 - "Silver Vein" Powdercoated Steel

The Aluminum is 1/16" thicker and still 1/2 the weight of the steel parts. Strength doesn't seem to be an issue here because the weight of the engines is relatively low.

The Powdercoated Steel is HIGH QUALITY .004" thick, its sandblasted before being coated and will not scratch easily, nor will it flake off on corners.

What are your opinions? If you're going to pay $75 for a nice motor/adapter plate, which would you rather have?

Ya, I screwed up and made the prototype from the wrong program. The production one will be identical to the steel plate.

Aluminum. No finish to fail, plus lighter weight and no rust.

Cheers!

Looks like I'm being out voted but I like the vein coated steel. Weight isn't really a concern for me, durability both in the part and the coating is. Polished aluminum wont hold it's finish well being driven thru mud all the time and I'm not taking it all apart to re-polish it LOL

Who the hell would re-polish it? If I got one it would be covered in mud and dead animals anyway.

Might get one anyway, not sure yet if I'm gonna have a problem with clutch alignment when I re-do my driven clutch.

So why get a nice shiny one if your not concerned about looks?

I like the black.

Any chance you can post a picture of the plate with the 4" drop?
