Re: Anyone running HD Chromoly Pushrods and Champion Rockers
I made the mistake of cutting them to long( the rockers would not tighten up do to not having enough stud to put the locknut on). I ended up ordering another set of pushrods from Geoff and he said to put the rockers on and get a measurement that way. It worked perfect!!! He sells a spacer also, just incase you do cut them to long.

I had Geoff build mine just for the easy factor. Then I ended up tearing it apart just because that's the way I am, NEVER satisfied!!! His engines are amazing!!!

I ordered my motor off of geoff's web site so I did not know that they came unassembled. Otherwise I would have paid extra to avoid the issues that i have had so far on my build.

Re: Anyone running HD Chromoly Pushrods and Champion Rockers
I have the high ratio rockers and springs (from Geoff) and stock pushrods . Not a problem yet but I don't wind it out that much have to go down the road to go that fast, and don't ride on the road much. I think its above 5500 though. 37gps with that its fast enough for my use and stock suspension lol. Have a new clutch to try next and looking at a carb setup. He said the champions were more HD but I wanted to try the high ratio and see if it helped midrange power, it may have but no way to measure. It seemed to have more snap.

Re: Anyone running HD Chromoly Pushrods and Champion Rockers
I probably would be fine with stock rods and rockers but I wanted a bullet proof valve train and it was not that much more money to spend. I have spoke with geoff on the phone several times about different things. I just like to ask questions on here that way the answers could help me and others wanting to do this and if I need to reference the question later it is here.

Re: Anyone running HD Chromoly Pushrods and Champion Rockers
Agree with you 100%, I may swap to a better rocker at some point. I still have the stock cam and rod. Head is cut/ported and small advance key, big exhaust and airbox on it. Its a HD 420cc lifan clone that was before Geoff got into the clones. I plan on installing this new clutch, then making an intake and putting a different carb for this year. After that I might go for a cam/rod and likely rockers/springs/pushrods as the cam requires. I don't want to have to take the motor back out of the cart for something like a valvetrain issue I can tell you that, you are right it is not much to spend to get something much better than stock. These rockers look similar to stock, but I figure my rpm is limited to maybe less than 5K most of the time and stock cam also, so I'd try them. I'd also like to hear about the better ones. But if I manage to get into another cart I may start working on that instead of this one lol.

Re: Anyone running HD Chromoly Pushrods and Champion Rockers
After a chat with Geoff I also ordered the cam, pushrods, and the 1.3 rockers. I will also change the carb out at some point to a CV type for smoother running and better top end performance. Geoff said the carb on the 440 is pretty good for most cases, but you know me.....
