Default another carryall.. parts cart or clone it

Picked up a 95 carryall 2 the other day for parts to go with my other cart. Cart needs engine, and both clutches, seat, and cleaning up. Other than that it's all there, wiring, fuel tank and gauge, throttle and trans cable, air box, starter/generator, stock belts. Thinking about putting my clone and other good parts in this parts cart because it does have a few extra's that my 1st cart didn't have. Sounds like alittle work but might be worth it latter. I could always build another clone cart and have 2. Just dont know if I spend 1000 to 1500 on the parts cart if I would ever get my money out of it. Any Ideas.

I looked closely at one from family but they wanted 1500 or something for it since it ran and everything worked. I figure I could buy the big lift and 25s for it and the clone, but then add in the cost of the cart it was a lot then. If you got a deal I'd say go for it since it would be a cool ride with a lift and big rubber and a clone. That year should be normal rotation. I would try to fit some other maybe ezgo/yamaha secondary to it even if I had to make an adapter, then use whatever primary you want with a normal 1 3/16 or 1 1/4 wide belt. You might fit two clones in there, though you can get a vtwin clone now. But since I had to buy the lift, the tires/wheels, the clone engine (so figure maybe $1500- 2K total with all parts?), adding the cost of the cart was nearly getting to used utv territory and I would still have to build the thing for free if you see what I am saying. Friend of mine bought a 4x4 rhino in nice shape for 4K, so I could not see spending close to that on a carryall when I could spend 500 more for the rhino and do no work on it lol. Of course it depends on if you need to lift it and what your use for it is. Making my own lift looked like a pain the way the CC is built, I can't weld on it either like I can on yamahas. So I passed on it. I even knew a guy with a 27hp Kaw I could get a good price on, but it added up to a lot of cash the way I saw it. You can get the secondary machined by CPP to make them work I heard, but I don't like the 1" belt setup they use. Again I was looking at trail riding as well as some utility use, it had to be lifted and hit 30mph, go over sand, etc. In comparison I did nearly nothing to the G9, the lift is only for 22s but easy to build. The clone fits in there fine though details for any clone take a while to sort out, but they are so cheap and more power. Even stock the G9 hit 30mph gps on the road after a while and all I did was take the governor off, put 22s on it, weld up some brackets to lift it. Only thing I bought was the wheels/tires. I suppose one could get an atv front on the CC one way or another to cut costs, the rear can be lifted fairly easily.

Hey Sho thanks for the comments. Yea I got 1 carryall that I just finished the clone in and I really like it. My first cart was almost like this 1 to start with but it did have motor and both clutches so I just rolled with it. I couldn't beat the price on this new carryall 2. Only drove about 40 miles round trip and set me back a buck-fifity From what I've seen there really aint a easy way for a lift kit so I'm going to bite the bullet and buy a Jakes or something like that. The big money problem I guess is the clutches. Dog-gone from what I've seen would set me back about 600 easy. The engine I'm sure I'll go with a Geoff's clone or a V-twin if I can find a good used one. I got alittle time to play with it untill spring. Might just unbolt the clone and rear-end set up and throw it in the parts cart just to see if everything works. Have to talk to ya little more about the clutches 1 day, I know nothing about them and setting them up. Thanks for the info.

good deal, I would go ahead and clone it. You might be able to pick up a stock clutch for cheap on ebay or on here. I would give you your money back

Oh well, 150 is a steal for that! You can't go wrong no matter what you do. Yeah the lift is a pain, easy to just buy one. Wheels/tires you have to buy for any cart you want them on I guess, so would not feel bad about those. If you shop a while you can get a primary cheaper but not sure what to do about the secondary, iirc they are smaller diameter also. I'm sure someone here has the answers I'm not a big CC guy just did some fixing on them here and there. If you worked on it, I think you could make a frame that mounted on the front with an atv front, and lift it cheaper than a bought kit. But it would be more involved of course.

I picked up this 2001 Carryall I this past fall for a grand. I already have a 6" lift and wheels/tires, but unfortunately wont be able to clone because of CW rotation engine. Hoping someone comes out with one soon.
What you got is the deal of the century! Congrats and good luck!

ps.. my carryall looks identical to yours but its a 1, any idea what the difference is?

hey kill, I'm not sure what the difference is but the blue carryall 1 in my pic is about 18" shorter wheelbase than the carryall 2 that I just bought.. As far as your cart, look for a 96 and older rearend or do the jack-shaft install to install a ccw clone.

Ive got a vegas carts clone coming any day for my 95 DS. I've pondered moving everything to the carryall. Would be cool.

Mine has the fe290 in it. I'll bet yours had the 350? I'll have to measure my wheel base sometime, but not until I get it unburied out of the garage.
