Default Predator 420 running like Dog S*%$! Please help

Okay so I am not very happy with the way my Predator idle's, I've removed the brass plug on the pilot jet I've tweaked it but it still idles like Crap! I am just going to assume here, That it is the carb not being built to be used in such a application? It runs good in WOT and it's okay in other throttle positions but not great.
My biggest complaint is that this thing doesn't Idle worth a poop! and it is a PITA to start because the choke is hard to get to because I'm not smart enough to figure out a way to run a cable to it.

Any help or idea's would be appreciated, I hate to just throw more money at this thing and not really fix the problem, Jeff From VC suggested using a ltz 400 carb but that seem's fairly large for my application And I have never played with jetting on anything so I wouldn't even really know were to start if I went that route, and also I can't seem to find a good carb to intake Boot that will work with 30mm Carbs any idea's on this?

The intake boot everyone is using is actually just a molded radiator hose from your local parts store. Just match up the inside diameter of the hose with the outside diameter of the carb. Doesn't have to be exact but close as possible. You are correct about the carb, order one from Geoff they are inexpensive and you will be a lot happier with your engine. Here is a pic of my choke set up, I had to by a long choke cable though from JEGS I think.

Thank you very much for the pictures, I was about to go insane trying to figure out how to run this stupid choke. I am looking into a carb as soon as I get some extra cash.

I had this same problem on my duromax. It was suggested to me to drill out the pilot jet. It's located under the idle speed adjustment. I used a torch tip cleaner to slightly open it up. Find the smallest cleaner that will fit and go up a size. Once it goes in, stop. It doesn't need to move freely. It's really easy to go too far with it. Don't ask me how I know!!

I have a predator engine in my club car and I ended up buying the carb from Vegas Carts and it really helped with idle speed. It saved me a lot of time.

Turbof250, did your engine come with the grey piece on your choke that connects to the black piece? If not where did you get it and do you have a part#?

I talked with Geoff again, He recommended once again a ltz400 carb over his tuned carb, after I explained to him what I wanted to do with the cart. I found new ones on ebay for 79$ I guess I will order one and make a mounting bracket for it. I will let you all know how it turns out probably be a week or so before I can get it put together.

You have to get the screw working for the jet in the side, then enlarge the fixed jet in the plug under the idle screw. The fixed jet limits max flow to idle, the screw on outside of carb adjusts that flow. Usually it can't flow enough to start with. If you go too big with idle jet it cant be adjusted very well so right, don't hog it out its tiny to start with. Then should be able to open it up for enough fuel it don't pop on de-acel and it starts in summer with no choke, mine does. The carb still has issues, it runs nice 1/2 to WOT and idle, but driving at steady low speeds the mix is off and I can't fix that. I also plan to go to a CV style carb once I ever get to making an intake so I can fit it in my yamaha which has no room where the carb is. I plan to put the carb on top of the engine and see how many problems I run into doing that lol. IT runs pretty nice though, only some stumbles at around 10-25% throttle area and not all the time.

Sho I also have it in a G9. I was planning on just angling the carb off to the side a little bit to clear the rear frame.
