Re: hf v twin
I haven't yet seen anyone do a build thread on the VC Vtwin. Geoff at VC says they are torque monsters. I don't know about being quieter, I suppose if you keep the stock muffler on it, but if you use one of their race mufflers, it will be loud too. The clones can be quieted down pretty well, there just isn't anything available specifically for it yet. There will be if there is a demand. I think a glasspack muffler in addition to the VC "Race" muffler will do nicely. I've seen others use an ATV muffler that have apparently worked well. Smoother? yes the Vtwin will be smoother and have more power off idle.

Re: hf v twin
Geoff has some of them says many parts will work on them. The price is sort of high as they are new to the market right now, you can get a vanny for not much more. But price will come down and they will be interesting for sure.

Re: hf v twin
New guy here from Western Washington. The flyer from Harbor Freight has been listing this engine for the last month or so. I have seen it in two different flyers, but the stores do not have them yet. Late summer they say. 670cc V-twin for $599.00. With a 25% off coupon the price would be $450.00 plus tax here in Wa. I think I need one.

Re: hf v twin
Have checked my local Harbor Freight store twice since first spotted, still nothing yet. 61614 is the number on the item. It is not on there website, just in the flyers. Try Google again as other forums are talking a little. Try "Harbor Freight 670cc v-twin". Hope this helps.

Re: hf v twin
My computer skills blow. That's all there is to it. I"ve seen pics of the add posted on other sites, lawn tractor, mini bike and others. Looks like a rather large engine, big oil cooler on one side. At 22hp It would have to be pressure lubed with a filter I would think?
