Default Club car swap

Hello going to start my first swap in a cart. I picked up a 1996 club car with a bad motor. I have a nice Honda gx270 motor I am thinking of using. This is a 8.5hp motor is this big enough to drive around the yard?

Yep, performance should almost like a stock engine.

Will run about like stock, what shaft is on the engine? Most adapters are for 1". You can buy a 420 clone for about 300 that will have significantly more power though speed is similar since they don't rev much higher. A couple cheap parts will give more rpm than stock but the power for hills and such is much greater, and it can still start like stock.
