Default 460 vc clone vibration

Will a 1.25" lift to the engine on the vc ezgo cradle at the two bolts nearest to the axle cause major vibration through the cart. This was done to get around the obstruction caused by my 04 txt shifter cable bracket and also the cable. Cutting the fins and then lowering the engine perfectly flat places the shifter cable directly on the header pipe and on the header pipe allen head bolt.

Does it have any mounts on the cradle or engine? Some mounts get rid of the stock mounts that isolate vibration so you get a little, some mounts keep them. Some mounts don't need them because the mount on the cradle isolates it. If your mod is tight it should not matter, but if the engine can move on your lifts it could make it worse. Good to use blocks or tubing/etc that will not move for spacers. You can't use a stack of washers for example.

Smile Re: 460 vc clone vibration

Ok! I will remove the washers that were used to lift the engine near the rear axle. However, I had reduced some of the vibration by leveling the engine with washers on the firewall side. I also created some space by using a 1" shorter starter/generator belt after I trimmed the oil filler cap near the firewall. So now I can move the engine back about a inch toward the firewall and this might allow me to remove the washers and the 1/2" spacer. So either the engine will be flat on the spacers or flat on the cradle. This will create a 1" space between the header pipe and the shifter cable, both of which I heat wrapped 5" due to them touching now.

There is no rubber mount. The original ezgo robin 350cc did have a rubber mount. So I'm hoping I can lower the engine to the cradle as you have suggested. Thanks again! !!!
