Default Wiring a volatge regulator and starter Generator

Finishing up the last bit of wiring on the "Meat Wagon" and I need to wire in my Voltage regulator and since the motor was already pulled and everything was unplugged and then rats finished off any hope of knowing where they went. So I had to rewire the whole thing. Pretty easy because I was able to save most of the wiring and just traced it back to it's source. So here is my question. There are 2 wires on the side of the starter Generator one is red the other green, where do they go. The voltage regulator has 4 wires. how do I wire them into the system to charge properly.

Starter Gen:
Green Wire: ?
Red Wire: ?

Voltage Regulator:
Red / white:
Green:
Black: Goes to ground (Traced this one back to ground)
Brown: Goes to the Starter gen side of the starter solenoid (I was able to trace this one back to the solenoid.

I've also wired in a 6 fuse accessories block with a ground buss that will be wire to the key switch to power accessories (radio, winch, lights etc...) while the cart key is on or do I need to wire it inline with the voltage regulator so it will power the fuse block with a steady flow of current.

Maybe this will help. Its for a club car but all the generators and voltage regulators wire up the same.

Since rats have chewed up some of the wiring I rewired everything. I eliminated the unnecessary stuff like the back up switch and alarm, igniter, and all the wiring for them. Here is my wiring diagram I come up with. Someone more familiar with wiring please take a look at it and pick it apart and tell me what is wrong and how to fix it.

Circuit looking good. One correction needed on kill relay,it will not energize the way you show on diagram.

Remove red wire from pin 85 and connect to pin 86 .pin 86 will have two wires on it.
Then add a wire from pin 85 to ground or just connect to pin 30,which is grounded.

The voltage reg and generator looks like wiring is correct. The only thing wrong is the labeling on the voltage reg. Swap the letters g,r/w . the wiring is correct.

Dont see how you are fusing this circuit, should be at least 20A fuse before ign. switch.

I had a moment of clearity, I'm an idiot. This whole time I'm looking at the 5 pin relay as a switch that powers the solenoid instead of it just being a simple relay to ground the kill wire. (Banging my head on the wall). I figured drawing it out would help simplify things and others could check my work easier. Now to move on to the voltage reg. Jeff, I've used a 3 pin v/r before but not a 4 pin like this one on my Yamaha G9. Could I simply buy a 3 pin and simplify the wiring. Then I just need to know which is input, output, and ground. I have no idea with this Yamaha 4 pin V/R.

You can use a 3 wire vr if you dont want to use the 4 wire vr. Remove the brown wire from regulator to start solenoid in your diagram, then the wiring will be correct for a 3 wire regulator.

Jeff thanks a ton. I got frustrated and was over thinking the whole thing. I've finished up the last bit of splicing and then on to making it look nice and neat. Here's my latest diagram.
