Golf Cart Security
Has anybody used an alarm like this:
http://www.dx.com/p/vibration-activa...140818homeAUUS It's only $8... I don't know if it'll run off of 12v without frying, it has a 9v battery. It won't stop them from being physically able to roll the cart away, but the alarm would let you know they are doing it. |

Re: Golf Cart Security
I'm of the opinion that you only get what you pay for. Doesn't look like a high quality piece, but it might work. I guess for only $9 you can't lose much right? Go for it. Post the results. I bought a $29 car alarm one time, it was a piece of junk and worked only for a short time. Later I bought a $160 Viper....and it's probably still on the car LOL.

I hide a switch somewhere in the cart that interupts the ignition-key circuit.I put it in a spot that is not noticeable, but easily turned off when leaving the cart unattended.Cost about $5.

Re: Golf Cart Security
That's an old hot rod trick from the 60's. My dad did that on every one of his cars, guess it gave him some peace of mind lol. He got his first computer controlled car in 1990....that was the end of that.
