2010 Summit LSV 11MPH
Scooter will only get up to 11 mph. Does not matter if the switch is in rabbit or turtle. Checked batteries. 6.4 V across the pack. Has Deka AGM batteries. Could someone email a wiring diagram and service manual. I suspect either an motor speed sensor, resistor, or switch. Also noticed on takeoff, the speedo will jump. Does anyone have any ideas?

It's most likely the speed encoder on the end of the motor. Haven't seen the switches or resistors go bad very often.
Speedometer jumping...does the needle move just a little when you turn on or off the lights even without moving? If so, it's the dc dc converter causing a bit of interference. Shouldnt' hurt anything. |

You're also going to want to load test your batteries. The Army wasn't very good on a lot of bases about keeping them fully charged for the longest time.

Whenever you just tap the throttle, the speedo jumps. Not just a little but up to 20 mph a couple of times then the scooter takes off and the speedo reads normal.

Any chance you can look up underneath the rear frame and get the numbers off the DC DC converter?
