2003 eagle project no motor
I picked up a new project this weekend, A mint electric par car with no motor VIN # 2ED-30680-E3. I believe its a 2003 eagle, but that's all I know. someone removed the motor so I'm trying to figure out which one belongs in it, and where to find one.
It has one relay underneath and a sevcon controller # 633t43802. Also it has a 3 position key (rev-off-forward) and a run/tow toggle underneath. the rear axle is a Dana Spicer 12.44:1 #82652-02. I am looking at all options here to get this cart mobile again, and really could use some assistance, I had read that a Yamaha motor might also cross over? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! THANKS IN ADVANCE! |

Re: 2003 eagle project no motor
The unit came from factory with a Briggs Stratton/EPS motor. Looked like a flying saucer with fins. Part number for the motor was 69210-01 but it was discontinued. We do have some used motors and new brush kits, or you might find one from the folks on this site who collected the old parts when they upgraded to new.
If I were spending the money on a new motor anyway, I'd upgrade to a new controller too and bring the cart up to current levels. |

Re: 2003 eagle project no motor
Thanks for for response tech, although I had hoped for better news, I am glad I have a direction to head now. What are a used b&s with a brush kit worth, vs. A new controllerand motor combination?
What would be an example of a controller, motor combination that would fit my cart? Thank you for your expertise, this is my first controller system rebuild. |

Tech, who do I contact to inquire about your used motors? Would just like to explore all avenues. Thank you.

Re: 2003 eagle project no motor
I've been doing a ton of research, and I cannot seem to come up with much information regarding these carts. I would like to upgrade the controller and the motor to todays specs, but I cannot come up with much information of what new motor and controller combination would replace my existing, without a complete rewiring of my system. Not that that would be out of the question, just a huge PITA. Has anyone else done this before?
It has a dana rear end with 12.44:1 gears 19 tooth spline input. I would think that other 19tooth spline motors would work, as long as I could get the correct rpm and torque. PLEASE HELP! |

Re: 2003 eagle project no motor
I know a picture is worth a thousand words, so here is a few. Does anyone know if I can run a regular motor off of this controller? I was under the impression that this controller was programmed specifically for the etek. Any info would really help. Thanks.

Re: 2003 eagle project no motor
Have you checked eBay?
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trks...at=0&_from=R40 Actual Eteks and a substitute. We just upgrade controller and motor, but normal people like you and me who have to come up with our own cash need to be a little more frugal. |

Re: 2003 eagle project no motor
So a standard style regen motor of stock quality would work with this controller?

Re: 2003 eagle project no motor
No. You'll notice the controller only has two connections, and the standard regen is 4 connections.
