Exclamation Columbia par car wiring

I have a 2006 par car summit two problems.

1. Some times the contactor want click or engage but I have found if I wiggle the 16 pin plug at the controller it will click and go. How do I fix this?

2. I have a rabbit and a turtle swtich that does nothing when flipped the car only runs 9
mph. What color wires should be hooked to the switch itself and where can I get a encoder from? I think that may be the problem. Is there a cc way to test the encoder?
