Default 2010 parcar smt4-tn

vin# 5fcls46b9a1001611
I would like a service and parts manual for this unit. Do you have a web site that I could down load one along with wire diagram ?

I just purchased one that the Gov had. I was told it would run 30mph. It runs
11mph flat road on high and low mode. Batteries are full charge. Any help would be greatfull.

Also could you tell me if there is any campaigns due by this vin# ?

Thanks for any help

Bob

The speed issue is most likely the speed encoder on the end of the motor. When it fails, the unit defaults to roughly half speed. That means what used to be 100% of max in forward goes to 50% and what used to be 30% of max in reverse also goes to 50%. The non-technical test is if both forward and reverse are now approximately the same speed, the encoder (or the connector) is bad. It's held on with just two small screws and you don't need to remove the motor to replace it. (Part is 74884-04)

The unit had a recall on the steering, and it was replaced in 2011. There were no other warranty claims for it.

Top speed by federal law is limited to 25mph, but yes, sometimes depending on terrain they all can vary a bit.

Can I test the encoder with my multimeter to see if it is bad ? Can I replace it without doing any calibration?

Thankyou for checking on the campaigns for me.

Is there a web site I can go to for download a service and parts manual for this unit?

Thanks again for your help.

Can't testing, but after replacement, no calibration or adjustment necessary.

The manuals for newer vehicles are not on website outside of dealer portals. Make a couple more posts so I can pm you.

I am going to look behind the dash panel to make sure a wire did not come off the switch.

It has 12" wheel steel trailer type, Where is a good place to get a spare
rim with tire at a reasonable price?

So you think only place to get service and parts manual would be to buy from dealer ? And Electric diagram also ?

Thanks again for the help you have given me.
