Custom ezgo marathon dash
So im curious what material everyone has used for a dash on their carts. I'm trying to go the route of making my own dash rather than buying one. I have 93 ezgo marathon so it's not going to be a hard task. I'm just stuck on what i should make the new dash out of? I would like to mount a few switches and a marine stereo on it so it can't be too thick. I was going towards wood or diamond plate but it's hard to find pieces of diamond plate long enough to fit all the way across with out having different pieces and with wood im not sure how it would look painted? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any input.

I made one out of wood for my 86' Marathon. I went the Men ards and grabbed some finished plywood, not the thick stuff, just a bit thinner. Put switches, radio and speakers on it. Turned out ok.

Spray adhesive, fleece, resin, bondo and make it like u want.

Morgan44 that looks really sharp! I really like the lights in the night time shot! What's your drink holders made from? Is that a cubby in the middle? I wanna make glove box doors ? What's the easy way to do it? Just cut out the holes for them and put a latch and hinges on?

The cup holder inserts like on a boat. Like these
Yes that is a "glove compartment" in the middle with a hinged door that swings up. Those pics came out like crap for some reason, sorry about that. |
