I bought a Eastwood 175 MIG and it works great and has a 3 year warranty as well. I have used many products over the years from Eastwood and all have performed as advertised. I have been very impressed with some of their automotive rust product chemicals.

I have a Lincoln 110 mig welder that I use for auto resto - mostly sheet metal replacement. What is the advantage of a tig vs a mig for this type of work? The Eastwood Store is 10 minutes away, so I'm fortunate that I can just run over and buy whatever (read, too close...!).

For sheet metal work your mig is better and a lot faster.

I debated long and hard when I bought my mig. Ended up with the Hobart 190. I strongly considered the Eastwood. They seem like good welders.

Well finally pulled the plug on a new welding setup, I was really looking into a Lincoln 210mp with a spool gun for around $1300.00 a friend told me he has a Eastwood tig 200 and he loves it, so I went to the Eastwood store to check one out, when I got there I couldn't make my mind up on a mig 175 with a spool gun or the tig 200, so the sales rep took me in the shop to let me try them out, well i'm not really a tig welder, only tried it once before, just not my cup of tea, salesman says I could get pretty good at it if I practice a lot..i said thanks but i'm gonna go with the mig 175 with a spool gun, hey mise well throw one of those plasma cutters, along with a cart in the mix too.. also I grabbed $100 of consumables.. I came out of there with a nice package all just under $1200...
