Default Passenger trailer

Me & a neighbor have been thinking about building a passenger trailer, out of a old golf cart or something. After seeing bryguy39's project(which I think is to kool) I thought I would start a thread requesting ideas & or input.

I have a frame to do the same thing to. I sold a frame to guy to build one also, I will get pic of his when he gets done. I will be using a g-14 frame and using a axle out of a portable concrete mixer. Going to use alum checker plate for sides and put front and rear seats on it.

I'm going to make one out of an old 3 wheel ezgo someone gave me. It was when I sold the steering setup out of it I realized it would make a perfect trailer. 3 wheelers are shorter so it really wouldn't be much bigger than one made from a 4 wheel cart. Just need to make a tow bar that hooks to the front wheel, it even has parking brakes. The marathon top and back seat would work on it or you could make that. a cooler and all the stuff you need under the seat, could even add a stereo and battery or whatever. No tongue weight so it won't make the pulling cart stand up on the rear wheels, pull up to the party and just unhook it and your setup to go. you could put a grill on back instead of a rear seat, the possibilities seem endless as to what you could do with one.

We already have a frame cut and ready to go, I just have to get the time to devote to the build.

dont some golf carts have the front hookup to be towed in a line? so the towed carts track exactly the same as the pullng cart?

Yes, as far as I know all 3 and 4 wheel "golf" carts do with the exception of lifted ones

my uncle uses tracking trailers similar to the ones in the pic below. They tow 3 or 4 at a clip behind the farmall tractors. There is a bar that goes from the front left to the rear right. The trailers track almost exactly in the same path. Maybe some of the design can carry over to your projects. Hope it helps.

These look similar to a old cotton trailer, tracking would be good but backing one may be a chore.
