Default Painting the Dash Panel on G29???

Anybody had any luck painting the dash/cupholders etc? Did it last or easily scratch up?

I want to paint it metallic silver to match the rest of the trim on the cart. I am afraid that it won't hold up and will scratch and get nicked up.

Any experience painting the dash? Pictures? How well does it hold?

thanks

Did you ever try this? About to tackle the same thing. Sucks when these good questions don't get answered!

Look at my thread with the 57 Chevy build I'm doing. I'm using a Rustoleum metallic product. Don't see why it won't work for y'all.

The "chrome" paint you used?

I went thru your thread a couple times but didn't see any pics of the dash. Do you have any you could share. Would love to see how it turned out.

I didn't paint the dash with it, only the parts that are supposed to be chrome. I don't see why it would not work on other areas/surfaces as well.

A lot of times the injection molded abs plastics like a dash can be much more difficult to get paint to properly adhere to and remain durable at all.

You would have to use adhesion promoter before applying the paint.
