Default 24v to 12v converter

Can I connect 24 to 12v converter to the two center batteries on my Yamaha drive 48v cart? I have 4 12v batteries. Thanks for any advice.

The object of a voltage reducer is to draw evenly across the whole pack for 12v accessories.

Agreed. But my original question still stands. Technically can I do this? I know it will draw unevenly across the packs.

Are you asking if you can supply a 36-48v reducer with 24v?

I have a voltage reducer with an input of 24v and an output of 12v. Is there any technical reason that I can't jump in the middle of the 4 battery series and just use 2 of them for the reducer?

No, any 2 batteries in series will give 24v.

Sorry I didn't fully understand the question.

I guess the better question for curiosity sake would be, why would you want to?
