EZGO TXT Light Bar?
Hey guys,
Need to add some light to the new to me 1996 TXT for safety at dark around the neighborhood. I am trying to decide between the stock set (cut in) or an aftermarket LED light bar mounted below the front cowl. What do you have, and what do you prefer? I am thinking the stock kit would be easier as I wouldn’t have to fab anything, just run the wire kit, and dremel the holes. The light bar would require some sort of custom mounting, running wires, and would need to source some tail lights from somewhere. But, they have that “custom” look. What do the masses say? |

Re: EZGO TXT Light Bar?
The stock rear bezels for that cart are like $7 each from EZGo and the lights are $6 each from the auto parts store. More expensive that your option but would look factory. As for the front, I have just mounted eyeball halogens using the lower shock cover holes but you could just mount a lightbar somehow. Higher the better..

Re: EZGO TXT Light Bar?
The factory light is dim and amp hungry compared to today's high output LED light bars.

Re: EZGO TXT Light Bar?
I will have to round up the part number when I get to my shop this weekend. And I agree the standard halogens use much more wattage. I just replaced a factory set of light bulbs in an RXV from 881/1157 bulbs to the led equivalent and current draw went from 7 amps to 0.7.. Slight difference and much brighter.. Head light bulbs were $30 for the pair and tails I bought a 20 pack for $20. Going to do the same in a light bar and see how that works out.

Re: EZGO TXT Light Bar?
check my build thread. I've added two small led lights and recently added a light bar across the top as well. My neighbors LOVE it.......
