Re: possible radio in my yamaha
We stopped installing ANY Pyle products in our carts because they just don't hold up, if You read the reviews on this one 7 of 9 reviews all say their unit died ...
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It's not quite as easy of an install, but we have had some amazing success with these Kenwood Bluetooth units as well as the wakeboard speakers, the combo is well-balanced and the sound is powerful and clear, even when running at 30+mph in a Big-Block cart. You could also always mount speakers in the kick panel under the seat or they also make adapters to mount them in the dash, although You lose your storage then ... Here's the easiest way to mount the speakers that we have found: VC04.jpg It's pretty simple, it's a 36" piece of 1 3/8" steel tubing from Home Depot, Lowes, etc that is bolted to the seat uprights and the speakers hang from it just like they would on a boat - what's nice is if You replace 2 of the mounting bolts on each side with wingnuts You can flip the speakers around if You're parked fishing, having a beer, etc and the system throws a really incredible amount of sound. Just a thought ... |

Re: possible radio in my yamaha
that's awesome with the wakeboard speakers. thanks for the review on the stereo too. That's what I was looking for, someone who has had it and knew first hand how they hold up.
I have looked at the bluetooth setups but really want the fm radio for listening to some college football and NASCAR if we are out and about during whichever is going on. One more question for you, how do the speakers in the kick panel put out? it doesn't seem like they would perform well for people on the rear seat, but I guess if it's loud enough ot doesn't really matter which direction the speakers are facing. |

Re: possible radio in my yamaha
So easy to install under the roof, you can make a very simple U bracket, pass wires inside the roof bars and that is it.
The volume can go to 32, but I am usually between 16 and 22, now I am not a teenager wanting all neighbor to listen to my music You will have one permanent +12V (to keep the memory), one contact +12V (when on way) and optionally a -12V. I do not know your cart, but on my Yamaha, the original fuse is on the -. Anyway, it is another discussion *smile I never installed a small radio antenna, but I should, the original small wire acting as it is a bit shitty sometimes... Music can come from radio, memory card, USB key or even your phone by Bluetooth. i do not know the price now, when I bought it 27$, delivered home... it was all a bargain ! |

Re: possible radio in my yamaha
Awesome. I ordered one tonight on Ebay. I got the waterproof one simply because it was only a few bucks more and figured why not. I hope to be installing it in the next few weeks.

I finally got it hooked up today! It's raining so we haven't been able to get out and ride any but it works great, very loud for what it is. Thanks for the advice and tips!IMG_6421.jpg
