Re: sand tires
If you ever drive on hardgrownd I would think thay the paddles would be really rough and wear quickly, but, I do not know this for sure since I have neverd owned any...

Re: sand tires
I know paddle tires are great in the sand but IDK about in the snow. I would get something like the 489s that are made for mud and you won't have to worry about taking them off. Paddle tires will not work on any hard surface and will tear grass to pieces.

Re: sand tires
Paddle tires are pretty fragile. We even tear them up at the dunes if we run over heavy woody brush or rocks. There are probably lots better choices for snow.

Re: sand tires
489's suck
there is my 2 cents If you are in snow and all that tread depth is a big factor and so is open space between lugs. Deep lug lites or 589's are the ticket |

Re: sand tires
489's suck in the snow, no lateral stability. For cheap I would run some mudbusters or any of the woolybooger knock-offs with the chevron in the middle and outer knobs and run a few studs in them. It is impressive what a few studs will do.

Re: sand tires
What size do you need? If you need something 26" plus, go with 589's or Mud Lite Deep lugs, (not the AT ones)
