Default PLEASE, NEED THE REAL TRUTH: Black Vinyl Seat Covers

Greetings,

First time poster long time reader here... thank you so much for all the great info... I promise soon to post my pics of my G19 Rebuild that is coming together very nicely.. and all the things I have learned along the way.

Question though.. replacing white vinyl with black. Pros and Cons?

Meaning.. too hot? Is there a material (not sunbrella) that I should consider that would make a difference.

If I went with a Gray and Black combo would that make a difference.

I will be using my cart 365 days a year, we have 4 seasons here in Missouri. My unit will will be family and hunting use.

Thanks for any help.. I dont like to post threads without some sort of pic so here is a picture of how I bought the unit. Its going to look completely different when I am done :)

I have the grey and black seat cover on my G29, I don't find it to get to hot in the summer sun here in Ole Miss. The one I have is made by red dot it is the sunbrella material and has stood up to the daily use it has been subjected to for the last 2+ years.

IV got all black bench seat if you have a top I wouldn't worry about it being to hot yes it can get hot of it's in direct sunlight but with a top really the only part that sees a lot of sun is the outsides if you have no top I wouldn't go with black though

Yes, the darker the color, the more heat it will attract. I have a two-tone with black and yellow. The sun out here is unforgiving. Whatever you choose, make sure you go with a good, marine-grade type vinyl to get the best life from.

We have black on our TXT. They will burn your buns when in direct sun light. They do look good though, lol.

I have black w/white seats, and even being "up nort" (not a typo)... they get hot!
I always do a "test touch" before jumping on, and if it's too hot? I grab a beach towel to sit on!
