Bondo Question
Have not used Bondo in a long time. Mixed some up today to touch up some spots on fiberglass body. Seemed it was taking a long time to set up. Re-read directions and I had only used about 60% of the hardener I was supposed to use. After a couple hours it seems fine. Is it OK, or am I looking at problems down the road? Thanks for all replies.

Re: Bondo Question
You'll be ok, the harder is mainly to dry faster if I recall.

Re: Bondo Question
Thanks Blackdeath. Didn't want to (after putting the stuff on) sand it out and start over if I did not have to. Have rough sanded the high spots now and it seems OK.

Re: Bondo Question
As long as it was hardened when you sanded it , yes you will be fine. Adding the right amount makes the setting up faster and to much you wouldn't be able to spread it before it sets up.

Re: Bondo Question
The lower the ambient temperature the longer the curing time. Couple that with too little catalyst and it will be super slow. If it seems soft or clogs the sand paper, redo it. Better safe than sorry.

Re: Bondo Question
Your welcome ! It has been awhile since I did any but I went to vocational school for 2 years for auto body back in 1978. Getting old. Lol. Last year I reached out to them and they took a bear up 1970 club car body for me and did it over. I have found that the ones in this area will do that you just have to fill out a application and get on the list. Just had to pay for supplies. Hope all is well I am so ready for spring so I can start working on my projects. Just purchased brush guard and fender flares for my DS. Have a great weekend. Ken

Re: Bondo Question
No The surface should be sanded, adhesion promoter applied, primed and then the primer should be sanded and the body filler applied.
