56 Studebaker build
Picked up this body couple months ago and started gathering parts. Don't like how far the front sticks out with no support.

Re: 56 Studebaker build
Had a extra frame that had a lot of cracked welds so used the front section also found led lights that I think fit the look.

Re: 56 Studebaker build
As you can see in the one photo. I'm redoing all the wiring. Don't want to drill a hole for shifter so plan to order contator kit, new controller, 2 gauge wire maybe motor. Battery were 2006 and 2 were split so there only good for cores. Big question is it has a vglide. Should I upgrade, and if so what one? vin is A0039

Re: 56 Studebaker build
2 things. The front is designed to be installed that way, and is sturdy, but I agree should have some sort of vertical support. And, where did you find those LED headlights?

Re: 56 Studebaker build
Looking good Jet. Did you remove the whole body and start over?

Re: 56 Studebaker build
The back was just sitting on there and not drilled for seat mounts. The front had two bolts and the fit was bad. Have 10 plus hours into body work so far. Finding out I don't like body work. the wiring was also a mess.

Re: 56 Studebaker build
Picked up some paint. Test panel after a week. Just put the clear on the left. Chrome paint did turn gray.
