Lightbulb Rear seat with a folding foot rest??

So, I have a 2002 EZGO TXT, and I need to tow this golf cart sideways on a trailer. I have been looking for a rear seat where the foot rest folds up and takes up less space. If I leave the foot rest down, I'm afraid the footrest will overhang too much.

I am not afraid to modify an existing back seat, just not sure which one is a good one to modify.

ANY IDEAS ANYBODY??

Ps: I can't break the bank on this project unfortunately.

Any links to where you got the seat? Or what it looks like?

Thanks guys! I've been looking into both of those, the max 5 and the genesis. I'm leaning towards the genesis

My biggest concern is that the plastic will end up breaking. I use this as a tow vehicle and to haul tools around at fairs in the summer time.

Has anyone ever tried to modify the genesis 150 to flip up the foot rest?

Im worried the plastic will break too easily and it will hang too low and interfere with my hitch that is mounted under the existing bag holder.

Those plastic foot rests are tough. We have a precedent with the madjax seat on the back and it definitely is sturdy.
It’s fairly easy to fold up, but it’s not something I would want to do on a regular basis.

Also if you have a hitch, you’ll need the hitch extension that bolts to the steel non-flip style foot rests, or you’ll have to fabricate some cross bars under the cart that will support a longer hitch extension. There just isn’t enough structure in the back end of most carts to handle a hitch sticking out an extra 18” behind the cart.

I'm not too worried about the hitch. When the foot rest is down, it will primarily be towing pulling tractors, not hauling anything. And if it is hauling anything I will fold the foot rest up.

But folding that foot rest up will be a regular thing in the summer. Most weekends we are off somewhere with it on a trailer.

I'm almost wondering if modifying a stationary seat is the best way to go.

I'm not afraid to modify anything, but if I have to rework the entire seat/footrest then it isn't worth it, it you know what I mean.
