Default Material for seat backer board

The seat board on my rear seat is delaminating so going to replace it. It is black material. Do I just use regular 1" plywood or it is something different? Should treated be used or stay away from the chemicals in treated.

Thanks,
Mr V

Welcome!

Don't know what kind of cart you have... I have a 92 CC DS, I think the manual calls for 1/2" plywood. I would recommend using pressure treated. I ended up using 3/4" plywood, because I had it on hand.

Club Car DS 2000.5. Bought the cart with the rear seats installed so not sure what brand. Took it apart to repaint some parts that were getting rusty and discovered the seat issue. Looks to be 1" thick.

Yeah I've seen something similar before. Some of them have a laun (luan sp?) sheet for some reason on the plywood. I don't see why one 3/4" or two 1/2" sheets if you must have 1" won't work.

Like BBBHC said, treated is best.

I used 3/4" on mine, seemed plenty sturdy. Traced and cut.

3/4 is what i used on mine . no need for pressure treat or unless you got a lot of bugs around. I did paint mine just for weather protection .

If you really want to get fancy, 3/4" starboard and you'll never have to replace it again! You can get it in black or white
