Cart / Roof Options
Hi folks,
I just realized that I will be having a delima on storing my cart once I get my mods complete - It will be too tall to fit in garage/shed Besides the obvious of removing the roof for periods, I'd like an option for a mod that either lets me keep this on (lowering sounds easy enough), or one that is both good looking and functionable and easy on/off. I have run across only one flimsy-looking convertable top, but there has to be something or some great ideas out here....Pics would be a plus if you have or run across something. Sincerely, 'Rollin-Tall' |

Re: Cart / Roof Options
Cart roofs are to tall anyway. Lowering it would make the cart more sturdy and make the roof function better in general. I would make it about six to eight inches higher then your head sitting down, it doesn't need to be any more then that.

Re: Cart / Roof Options
If your cart has one of the roof systems with "pipe" like leads up to it, you could simply cut and splice the pipes lower, and secure it using the larger pipe method.
This method of pipe splicing includes using a section of pipe that is slightly larger then the pipes that are part of the roof. The larger pipes are placed over the two ends of roof pipe. This is then secured with drywall screws. Larger pipe --> _______ ------------------- --------- <- Roof Pipe That may help my explanation. |

Re: Cart / Roof Options
I tried em when I was a kid but, they just don't hold up. They like to shear when stressed

Re: Cart / Roof Options
Thumbtacks will work but noisy, unless you you are already using earplugs to defeat the back-up alarm. Gorilla glue is always the best bet.
