Anyone build a roll cage for a Club Car
So as part of my resto and to help with my street legal issues, I want to fab up a roll cage for the cart. Something very simple that's bolt on. I figure the rear would be similar to roll bars that you can purchase. The front would extend down to the rocker panel, the tie across the top and just above the cowl. Then two bars running from front to back. This would satisfy my crushable roof issue. Provide solid mounting for a AS1 glass windshield and look pretty cool as well!
Of course I want to do this relatively cheap. Anyone done this? I can pick up a tube notcher for $50-$60 bucks. Either get the two main hoops bent for me or purchase pre-bent elbows and weld it all up. Ideas???? |
