custom Precedent headlights

I have a precedent and I am installing a light kit from stretch plastics

My question is has anyone ever cut out the body above the wrap around bumper and used these lights as inset lights in the body. Am I asking for trouble? I am a little nervous to pull the trigger and do because if it does not work out i will have two big holes in the front of my cart.

One reason I want to do this is the bumper that is included with these lights is not really a bumper at all, and I could use the stock bumper. also I if done right it could look really good.

any thoughts?

Im not sure how deep the lights are, but theres not much room under the plastic body. theres a black, hard heavy plastic clam shell under there as underbody/framework. The front body panel comes off real easy if you want to look. theres 4 screws that hold the trim that goes around the upper part of the dash board. Take off that black 1/2 moon shaped trim piece, pull up on the body and it just snaps in around the front edge....its really that easy to take off and look
