Roll bar
Started building a roll bar. All I got so far is rear mount. The real challenge will be the hoops, but at least I got something good to tie it to.
I hope to get something together for the front so I can start ruining bigger pieces of tube. |

Slight change in plans. I studied all morning on how to lock down the front so I could do a full cage and came up dry. So instead of blotching the front, I decided to go with a strong half cage. Here's what I got so far.

Wow, that looks great Clay. Are you going to come off the back a little bit with another bar: like the decorative ones? If not, I think I would also brace it up by the seat backs: like Jim's. Just my thoughts. I can see the electric cart in the background your son won at the Bonanza. Does he still ride it?

Every now and then the kids want to ride the little cart, but mostly want to ride a big one.
Enough for today! Got the back supports in place, just need to take it all off, finish welds and clean it up. Then primer and paint. Got to add one more bar to fasten the seat belts to after I get the racing seats installed. Here's what she looks like now. |
