My Cnc Dbl A-arm Build
My A-arms came in today so I can now begin my fab to a dbl a-arm setup. The arms are off a Honda 300 EX, the video shows how I plan to hold the arms together. I will figure out how to mount everything to the frame later. I have tons of machining, cad, fabbing experience, just havn't gone down this road before. Any body have any helpful suggestions or tips don't hesitate to drop me a post! Will be adding pics, vids as I go.
P.S. The part running in the mill has nothing to do with this build I just thought I'd throw it in there!! |

Re: My Cnc Dbl A-arm Build
That looks really cool
I think you should have somekind of an idea how you intend to attach the subframe? |

Spindle help
Ran into a snag already! Started removing the spindles, it won't budge. I removed the roll pin and it appears the bolt just threads out using the small thru hole to turn it with. From the bottom, does it turn left or right? My guess is left toward the ground. It may just be frozen, I squirted it and will try again tomorrow. Any help is appreciated.

Re: My Cnc Dbl A-arm Build
I did knock the pin out, at least I thought I did! I had to pull the arm off to where I could see what the hell I was doing! There was actually two pins...one inside the other...go figure! Hope the the rest goes easier

Re: My Cnc Dbl A-arm Build
Got a bit more done today! Cut the ball joint ends off my new A-arms and made some 1/2-13 sleeves to weld in. I plan to use Heim bolts, should give me a bit of adustment. Made some sleeves to fit in the spindles to take up the slop from a 1/2" bolt that will tie the heims to the spindles. Also made some SS heim spacers. Time to start on the sub frame..............

Looks great John. I can't wait to see more. And yes I am jealous of all of the tooling and equipment you have to use.
