Back yard engineering
So today I'm going to go work on the G 14. I need to fabricate a clevis joint to allow proper functioning of the shifter (stock vw on the floor, going to a vw 4 speed trans-axle). It will be constructed from 1 inch square tubing and flat steel plate with a smooth shank bolt and nylock nut attaching the two pieces. Pictures to follow!

Re: Back yard engineering
I acquired someone else's project, and I am in the process of fixing some of the problems. the shifter, throttle cable, steering, front suspension, roll cage, etc are on my to do list but a lack of free time and money prohibit me from addressing all these issues at once.
