Default Trailer Stands/ Supports

I am looking for a product that will mount to both sides of the rear of my trailer (6'x12") that will allow me to load and unload the golf cart while the trailer is unhooked. Some sort of swing away or drop down stand that locks into place to support the rear end and prevent the tongue end from shooting into the air when loading and unloading the cart. They must already have something like this. I can fab something myself but was wondering if anyone has seen something like it.

I bet you could mount a trailer jack on each side, that wouldn't even take much fabbing.

Heavy equipment haulers dealt with this problem in 2 ways I remember... 1 was a triangular ramp that when lowered to the loading position would rest on the ground and provide the ramp. When viewed from the side it looked like a triangle. The other was ingeniously simple. A piece of square tube was welded to the outside read corner of the trailer with the hole up & down. Another piece of square tube fit inside this sleeve and had a foot and a series of holes and a pin was used to lock it down for loading support or up for travel... Keep us posted on what you decide to do and how it works

Just like this Scotty.

You put your stands down than crank up the front of the trailer to make it steady.

Get some lite duty trailer jacks for a travel trailer that screw up and down. Or could hook a bolt connecting nut on trailer us all thread, with a small stand at bottom.

I will start fabbing one up like this next week. Thanks for the replies. I store my cart on the trailer in the garage for space saving. I pull the trailer in forward with the ramp facing the garage door. These jacks will allow me to use it without hooking up and pulling out the trailer.

Default Re: Trailer Stands/ Supports (finished!)

Finished the supports with help from my brother and his stick welder. I did the grinding and painting. It works great, wish I did it three years ago. Allows me to store the cart on the trailer and unload it for a ride without hooking up or having the tongue go sky high. Cost $26 total. $10 each stand and $6 for the square tubing.
