750cc in a club car
So I am new to this forum, I just wanted to say hi to everyone and I welcome all you thoughts and Ideas on my next project I am about to work on.
Well it starts off with a motorcycle I got for free (wrecked bad, But works). the Motorcycle is a 91 Kawasaki zypher. I am using this engine to be placed into my late model golf cart, it is a electric club car. One reason why I join this forum is to ask if anyone has the diagrams for a club cart, and the second reason is that I would like to hear what people think about my project. I know that some of you are going to think I am crazy, and i am going to get hurt on something this powerful. Thank you |

Welcome to BGW!!!!
I think it will be a cool project. Look into upgrading your brakes. |

Re: 750cc in a club car
Thanks.
Ya for the brakes, I am thinking of using a single disc for the rear, but I am still unsure what to do about the front... since it would have to be all custom. |

Theres a few on here that have swapped engines out, including me. I would go to the big block section and look around and you will probably learn somthing...
Good luck! |

Re: 750cc in a club car
we did a honda 600 last year. we ended up using an atv rearend with disk brakes. i recommand that you build a real rollcage and keep the cart as low and wide as possible. we had a 5 inch lift on the one we did. we had to to make clearance for the seat. if you need any more info or help pm me any time. oh and welcome to BGW....

well i would like to say thanks for the welcome, and giving me the heads up to look in the big block section. I still cant decide if I want to lower the cart or lift it with an air bag and link set up.

Re: 750cc in a club car
Have you ever done air ride work cause if not i'll help you with the ? your going to run in to cause im in the middle of that project right now. I think it would be cool to got it low as you can and make it look like a traxxs revo ( low with wide tires that stick out passed the body)that way you can buzz around and have less chance of rolling it .

Re: 750cc in a club car
unfortunately I Haven’t had the pleasure to install an air ride kit yet. But I will be doing that after I install the engine.
Since This is my first cart and this will be completely custom, does anyone have a good imput for placement of the engine>? I am thinking about right behind the battery mounts. I do have one question; what Can I do with the electric motor I have? Sell it, or place it somewhere else in the cart.? ????? Any Ideas |
