Talking A necessary distraction with very rewarding results!

I along with many of my friends enjoy kayaking and rafting along our local rivers. I decided to add some speakers and an amplifier to one of my kayaks so we can have tunes while we are out. The speakers and amp are made for a motorcycle (compact and waterproof) but I was in need of a way to mount the speakers to the kayak. Here is what I came up with using some round steel and flat steel. It turned out better than I expected! Now we will have music on the river, along with anyone else within a quarter mile of us (they get pretty loud!) Let me know what you think

Kelly

P.s. The orange paint is the same color I will be using for the golf cart when I paint it but the pictures don't do it justice.

Nice Job! Have you got any better pics. of those speakers? They look nice from what I can see. Might be interested in incorporating some on my golfcart. Or maybe better yet....Have you got a link to where you purchased them?

Thanks, Cheesy!

The ones I ordered are the "PYLE PLMCA30 Motorcycle Mount Amplified 200 Watt x 2 Stereo Sound System with Dual Handlebar Mount Speakers." I got mine direct from Amazon for $80.00 shipped. They are louder than I expected, and I may incorporate a set or three when I get further along on my cart. According to Pyle Audio the speakers are waterproof so they should work well on a cart. The input is designed for an MP3 player, but i'm sure you could adapt them to a stereo head unit without much trouble. Hope this info helps!

Nice! so they have built in amp, and are ready to hook up to my I-touch? Basically hook to power supply and your Rock'in?

I'm off to check these out some more! Thanks for the reply, and additional information!

Thanks Extreme Cartz! I have been using it for the garage stereo lately because it plugs right in to my mp3 player lol. It's plenty loud even mounted up on my kayak hanging from the roof.
