Q on Kohler industrials
Anyone have an opinion on Kohler industrial magnum engines. I'm lookin at a12hp with between 1 and 2000 hrs duty on a highway sign board duty. Is this a good cart engine? I know it aint a big block.....but. Any input that will help me make a decision is appreciated

Re: Q on Kohler industrials
It's not much bigger than a stock engine, seems like a lot of work for not
much gain. Just my opinion. |

Re: Q on Kohler industrials
Kohler makes a good engine. I think I would try to go at least one more step larger though....

Yeah, it would probably be adaquite, not impressive. But the guy wants too much for it so........ Seems these motors do enjoy a pretty gd. rep.

Re: Q on Kohler industrials
I would recommend a Kohler command. Those are the good engines.

Re: Q on Kohler industrials
Yep. I had a 15.5hp. Ten years in a riding mower - can't kill it! Tried with diesel fuel once....but it survived. Too bad all those mowers are vert. shaft or there would be a never ending supply of good cart engines.

I know what you mean. I have a 80 model John Deere mowing with a 10hp in it and you cannot kill it either. Still runs like a top today. I use it for a yard cart now though. No deck under it at all... |

Re: Q on Kohler industrials
Hey scottyb, Hey mods, I also have a 15 CommandPro and was wondering if any of you on this thread knows if they make the hot cams and(or) rev-kits similar to the brigs BB stuff. Something that brings these motors on out of the workshed ......... ANYTHING more than an 8HP motor is MORE.
I didn't come to Hijack the thread, just to open up some Kohler dialog |
