monster ?
I just got off the phone with a friend of mine....I bought a 95 CC Carryall without engine. This is a perfect cart for the ranch and the construction site. I have been trolling craigslist for an engine. I came up with a 1986 Kawasaki 900cc complete minus altenator = free. Is this a good match up? Please try to answer the following Qs.
1. Can this motor work with the stock rear end? 2. Can this motor work without a shifter? 3. Is this too wild of a project for a novice? |

Can this motor work with the stock rear end? The older 900s were chain drive and if this one is also I believe you could make it work if run through a jackshaft setup to a clutch. would the rear handle the power? maybe for awhile if your not to hard on it. I would use for a 4 wheeler rear if I was doing this. Can this motor work without a shifter? I guess you could keep it in 1st gear but what fun would that be... Is this too wild of a project for a novice? Oh yeah... but what the hell.... |

Re: monster ?
Id pick up the engine anyway, never know when you might need it, think about that engine in a 4 wheeler, i think thats a little too much for something designed to go 15mph.

Re: monster ?
Scotty,
Free = WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? Just because something can go 100 mph, doesn't mean you have to take it to that level. I, myself, would find it hard to resist the temptation, but I'm sure there are some who can As far as being a novice, how else you gonna learn?? Like Nike says: Just Do It!! |
