Default lexan

i want to make a points cover out of lexan for my harley cart, the muffler is about 3" away is the lexan going to take the heat?

I've worked with lexan in an industrial setting. The exhaust won't get hot enough to melt the lexan, but it might be enough to start to discolor and bubble it. It should take air temps to 250 degrees F without a problem. I say go for it, and if it starts to bubble and discolor, then you know it's too hot...
