Stretching a Club Car
Has anyone stretched a club car. I am looking to stretch mine into a lifted four seater. I've got ideas of how to do it. but would like to see anyone else's stretch jobs.
Heres what I would like to stretch. |

Re: Stretching a Club Car
Can you weld aluminum? Your's is aluminum "I Beem". Same theory for stetching as Ezgo and Yami's, but there steel frames.

Re: Stretching a Club Car
Yes I can, but I thought I could use some flat stock, kinda like the old z-lifts do. Then add some cross braces.

I am working on doing this right now, kinda slow going, but I`ll post pics as I go. I am using Aluminum I-Beam flat stock and C-channel.

Re: Stretching a Club Car
cvingr, thanks for the post. Have you started a build thread? If you do, can you give me the link to it? I would like to follow it.
Your is an electric, and mine is gas. you only have 2 I-beams to deal with. My cart has 4 under the floor board. Are you welding aluminum I-beam or bolting on steal? I can't seem to make your pics bigger. thanks again |

Re: Stretching a Club Car
I am welding it in. I did see an older thread on her that had pics of a gaser that was stretched very similar to mine. I will post pics as I work on it. I think welding will be much stronger.
