That process is also called hydro cladding and there is a company called gemico that does the same process. I have all the info at home from a project they did for me.

Water Transfer Printing is simple. We prep your sub-straight (dash bezel, side panels, console) with an epoxy primer to take out the factory plastic wood grain finish. Then base coat and dip in what ever print you decide on (Wood, Carbon fiber or metal look). Then use a high quality clear ( Dupont, Sikkens, Deltron) we use 4 sometimes 5 coats on all Motor coaches, automotive applications. $200.00 seems a little low. I would ask how they process the dash just to make sure they are using good materials. But then I charge a little more because of the cost of the paint I use. It also depends on the size of the bezel, we charge 55 cent a square inch measured L X W. The 55 cents includes a life time warranty against fade, peel, poor adhesion anything that would say I screwed up. Takes 2 weeks sometimes 3 if we are slammed. HERES A PIC OF THE JEEP WE HELPED COP4X4 with, Real Image did hood, fenders, interior parts, T Top (the entire top or the Jeep) wheel inserts in Carbon fiber, We also have a F250 that will be in Diesel Power Mag in a few months. We just did the Photo shoot to day out a "SPEEDWORLD"

LOL Well I have no over head right now. I own all my equipment. I'm sure we will raise the prices to compete with the bigger guy some day. I'm a very small shop that puts out good work. I have one rule at my shop, I never want the products I coat to ever comeback to me! unless they want to change the print to something new or they send me more parts.lol I just cant afford to have a bad rep. Not that "RUPP" was ever a Bad Name just need to keep it on the level.
