Best possible ground would be to run it to the battery.
You can get away with grounding it on a clean spot on the frame. |

Really? I was always told try and ground it to the frame before you ground it to the battery.

Re: how to wire radio ,101
NO you can not ground to the frame on an electric cart, every ground needs to go to the battery ground. if you ground to the frame you will have a different volt reading all the time, most the time it will be higher than 12v
6 volt batteries, notice the batteries are connected pos to neg in 'series' Pic any 2 that are connected pos to neg to get 12v |

Re: how to wire radio ,101
Why trash it?
I see what you might be talking about. See I have a seperate 12 volt I run everything off. I do not run anything off the main pack except my head/tail lights. Those are grounded to the battery. Plus he is talking about a gas cart anyway |

And yes Chevy you can get away with grounding to the frame on a gas cart but it is better to ground to the battery, gas cart has a ground cable from the motor to the frame, --I was talking about electric carts, you look on your electric cart and there is nothing grounded to the frame from the factory |
