Default gearing issues

I have a ez go golf cart and its my first cart project. I put a 440cc twin jet ski engine in it and was wondering if the stock ez go tranny would let it reach its top speeds, or is there like a govenor in it?

Stock gears are 12.44:1 after market gears sets available are 8:1 and 6:1

here is a couple pics, it has a custom roll cage, and a quad front end. it was a real fixer upper when i got it. and i was wondering whats the top speed i will get out of the tranny?

There is a formula ( I don't have it) if you know the engine rpm, gear ratio, and tire size it will give the mph expected...

I'm not sure how accurate it'll be with a Jet Ski engine and clutch, but here it is:
