Did you see the shifter mod that Cheesy did? Pretty slick but my shifter assembly is different than his so I can't do what he did. I am trying to design my own and if successful will post some pics. I gotta wait for warmer weather to get serious about it. I have a "universal" design but need to test out the actual functionality before making any claims to a successful product.

I first thought of just using some level to go side to side and shift just like the little plastic handle which is real stiff to shift. Then I saw some like the Jake's Shifter and Tim's Custom Slick Shifter and decided I want a stick shift, forward and back motion. Cheesy did a slick mod of his own design, but my shift assembly is not the same as his and I don't think I can follow his example. I have an idea but have to prove whether or not it will work. I would bet that if we all put our heads together we can design a real sweet shifter that looks good and works good. Post your pics when you can. I know about the cold, been real cold here too.

So how are you guys planning to keep the shifter so someone can't accidentally push it into reverse?

It would have to more of a purposeful effort rather than an accident with my design for a shifter. But at my age and with my memory I just might
shift it into reverse and think I am trying to go forward. Since I don't have ANYTHING accomplished, other than an idea, I don't have to worry
right now. I guess a shifter with a short throw would be easier to knock into reverse than a long throw but I am not concerned with that problem
right now. I am the only one that drives the cart, no kids, and I drive it at my own risk.
