Default Front bumper?????

Anybody ever made or even seen any sort of front bumper for a cart other than the "brush guard" looking ones that go on the off road style carts?

We're fabbing a custom rear bumper out of polished diamond plate...like there is anything else to make on out of......and I am trying to design something for the front that would look good and be different.

Just wondering...

When i get my press-brake running(if i ever get shop finished!),I want to make a winch-bumper for mine.Kinda rectangle-shaped from the front, but taper the ends upwards, with a flat top(d-plate?)Then mount the winch inside and feed thru the front. They sell them for quads, look tough. How about Aluminum-Channel,with a alum. d-plate top?

I want to do it all from all diamond plate similar to what we're doing on the rear. The issue with the front of the TXT, especially a lowered one, is that the only real open area is in between the tires. Can't imagine that something that small would look right escecially when compared to the full wrap style rear bumper that we are making. The rear will be a true formed bumper not just a flat piece of dp.

What would be the thoughts on a perhaps 3" tall dp bumper with ends tapering up and wrapping around the front and sides of the cowl above the tires? It would have to get pretty thin over the tires for sure if they are going to clear. I really think the front looks a little naked in comparison to the substancial rear bumper. I don't want to use a standard dp shock cover because I don't want to completely cover the shocks and all the inner-workings of the air system 'cause I kinda like seeing it.

Opinions?

Here is how I did mine. I used polish al tubing. Its mostly for looks-well its all about looks. Its not very strong but that wasn't the object. One similar could be made very strong.

Maybe a V shape of DP, arching to the top of the tires, then pointing down towards the axle line. Not to a point, but to a good looking width. It could be concave, or convex. Just an idea....

OK, Bob and I have brainstormed a design and we'll begin fabbing next week. I think it should look good but who knows.

More to come......

Thats why its' called a "project",It might work, might not.Might look great, might look like crap.Never know, but if you build it,and you like it,and it serves its' purpose,Who cares what others think?!?Remember, the only way to get good at something is practice(Doctors have been practicing for years and still suck!!)
