Default G9 Skidplate

I'm in the process of building a skidplate for my cart. Figured I'd post a couple pics up. It will be bolt on and I have a couple holes to drill in it to let water and mud run out but its a quick and easy skid plate. Really been worried about rocks smashing the rear end. No more worries.

Yeah I'm always worried when I come up on some rocky trails. I have some of that dynomat left over from my truck and I'm gonna stick that to the top side to keep the sound down. Now if I could just figure out some kind of waterproof guard for my belt system Id be in there.

1/8" steel plate I had laying around. The little bump out that I built on it for the housing is all supported with 3/16". I have 1/8" angle with nuts welded to them to mount the skid plate with 3/8" bolts. There will be about 8 bolts holding it on.

I'm with y'all. Mine has nothing and lucky there are not that many big rocks where I run...but I been thinking about it. I was thinking of a frame of tubing then mount some pieces of bedliner on it or similar. Couple years ago I put high speed gears in a CC, it hit something and broke the bottom case bolt out. They stuck a small bolt and silicone in the hole and it leaked. They sold the cart to people I know, whom I put the gears in for. I put the gears in and some bearings because it had run out of oil and made noise a week after they bought it. It had wrecked some of the gears, I said hey you might as well put a speed kit in. They sold it and got their money back.
