No absolute answer because we don't know the size of lights you will be installing or your driving habits after dark, how slow or long of rides do you take.
will you play the radio while the cart is sitting?

Put a large battery in and try it???

yep those are some things i shoulda mentioned lol.... golf cart wont be sitting much while playing the radio maybe a little playin golf. driving at night not everyday but some . i havent gotten any light for it yet but they probaly wont be be ones just some to drive around the neighborhood in the evenings. my rides arent very long unless im playing golf. other than that the occasional mile or two ride..... i just want to know the limitations...... i have heard of people not adding an extra battery but the radio wont last and what not. so im just wondering if many of you guys get a way with not adding an extra battery for your radio and lights. thanks gents

Back during my bass fishing days I would crank off of a deep cycle battery and run my trolling motor all day off of the same battery. The trick to longevity is the motor has to start and not just crank, if you get the difference. The small engines in these golf carts dont draw anything like my 115hp did so if your cart starts good I would try a marine deep cycle. You sound like you might be adding a battery anyhow so what's the harm. Try replacing your starting battery with a group 27 marine deep cycle.
