Default G1 custom flip seat

I am constructing a flip seat for my G1. It is not complete yet but I wanted to share my progress so far. I used 1 1/2" x 1 1/2"x1/8" angle iron and 1/8" thick black iron sheets. The rear bumper is 3 1/2" square tubing. The tubing welded on top of the bumper will hold the 1" tubing that wil act as a armrest and to support the seat when it is flipped. I made these removable due to the fact the body flips up to access the engine.

Thanks, I made the cage but it can't really be called a roll cage because it is just 1 1/4" conduit that I welded up. It is basically for looks and to hold the top on and the windshield that i don't have on yet.

I like the looks of that also! How did you go about making the connections to allow the back to still be opened?

The front hoop is separate it goes down thru the front end and bolts in. The back hoop has 2 tubes extending forward to hold the roof. The 2 tubes drop into a piece of pipe welded onto the front hoop and is bigger in size and a pin goes in it to hold it.

Your more than welcome to use it. It may not be the best way but it works fairly good.
