Default got a few parts i wanna weld together what do you think?

i recently found a frame from an as yet unidentified golf cart in the scrap yard.it had the steering assembly/frame/rear end including brake drums. now i was planning on turning it into an around the yard cart with the help of some steel pipe and my trusty tube bender.now i have most of the details figured out, but was wondering about a few things.

1. i have a brand new 6.5 hp honda engine. will this do for a power source?

2. although the oil seemed clean when i drained the tranny id like to break it apart and make sure theres no sludge in it. anything gonna pop out when i open her up?

3. is there anywhere i can look online to try and match my rear end up so i can find replacement parts?

4. should i go with a centrifigal clutch or a torque converter?

5. it appears to have been gas powerd belt driven. the drive pully has these 4 teeth that lock into an opposing set of teeth w/a spring between seperating. where would i go about finding a replacement that has the teeth and a sprocket so i can convert to a chain?

the best way to hook it back up is to use a torque conververter set up like the factory would have used. if u use a go kart style centrifical clutch it will go very slow, like a lawn mower speed, u need the gearing the cvt gives u....

6.5 is smaller than anything I ever seen in a golf cart.

i tried using a 5hp on my club car when i first got it.(didnt have an engine in it at first) i used a go kart clutch, chain and sprockets. put it right on the rear end of the cart, it was so slow, i mean like you would pass me on a riding mower!! sucked....

prob is the tav2 is only for up to a 8 hp motor, so if i went with something bigger im back to a centrifigal clutch. what would you guys suggest i use for a powerplant?

also would it work with the `6.5 if maybe i pulled the rear end and switched to a go cart type rear end with a live axleperhaps?

Unless you have everything laying around to build this, you are end up with too much $ into it for what it will be IMHO. Make it a junkyard dog or put it back in the scrap heap.

i got all the metal, and most of the odds and ends, but id have to buy a motor i believe if my 6.5 isnt gonna work. $350 gets me a 13.5 hp if that does it but ive just never worked with golf cart stuff before. my intention when i found it was a go-cart style little baja tube car. the rear end is sounding more and more like its out, but the frame itself/brakes/steering assembly i think i can still use. what i really need to know is what could i scrape by with(engine wise) using the same rear i have so i can decide weather to scrap it or fab someting that will work.id like it to have a horizontal shaft type motor. money isnt the big thing, i can put a little ata time in it. northern tool sells kits for live axles with the 1" keyed shafts for like 120.00 with the hangers tm sure would work fine////i just hate to throw away a perfectly good transmission ;(
