Paint or Powdercoat?
I got the cart down to the frame, cleaned & primed. Do I paint it ($25ish) or powder coat ($75-125).
This isn't going to be a show cart, but it'll be decent. If I paint it, what kind of pant should I use? Epoxy? |

Re: Paint or Powdercoat?
Just got off the phone with the powder guy, seems like prices have gone up since the last time I talked with him. Ouch.

Re: Paint or Powdercoat?
Powdercoat no doubt is better and more durable if you can deal with the added expense and hassle of transporting it. I decided to just go with Rustoleum flat black enamel after 3 rounds of pressure washing 10 years of dirt and sand away...

Re: Paint or Powdercoat?
I only use Powder Coat on something I know will never change, like a set of Valve covers. If I powder coat a frame I'll just have to mess it up sooner or later, cutting, grinding, welding, changing something. Powder coat costs too much, Epoxy paint is just as good in compairing cost. My 2 cents only.

Re: Paint or Powdercoat?
there is no doubt that powder coating is best, but the cost is to far out of touch for me. i would love to have everything metal i own powder coated, but my budget just dont allow for it. plus, i can get things painted at a very fair cost and it helps a guy with two babys out.
